Kevin Lamoureux, Member of Parliament (MP) for Winnipeg North and his daughter Cindy Lamoureux Member of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba (MLA) for the riding of Burrows left for India and Philippines on December 20th to have discussions on why Manitoba is a great place to live.
As of this writing Kevin and Cindy are still in India and will be in the Philippines in December 29, 2016.
Both Kevin and Cindy have been very active in advocating immigrant rights. Kevin will be the first MP that will come to mind of most people in Winnipeg when it comes to advocating immigrants’ right. He is well loved and supported by local Filipino community. On the other hand, Cindy rightly deserves praise for her efforts as well, like her father, she has been very active in advocating increased immigration and fairer application of the Immigration Act, she is very vocal against the recent government plan to charge a $500 fee to people who have been approved to come to Manitoba under the provincial nominee program.
This father and daughter tandem will hold an immigration workshop at Mabuhay Manor Hotel on December 29 at 7:00pm. The venue address is 2933 F.B. Harrison corner Ortigas Streets, Pasay City, Philippines.
The worksop will focus on explaining the different ways on how people can come to Canada giving emphasis on the Provincial Nominee Program, working, student and visit visa.There is no cost to attend this workshop, however, everyone is encouraged to register. They will be in the Philippines until after New Year and will also be visiting Cavite, San Mateo (Rizal), Malolos (Bulacan) and Guimba (Nueva Ecija).
