Receiving your permanent resident visa is one of the most exiting milestone in your life. After you have packed all your belongings and have said your goodbyes to the people that you are living behind and you have landed to your port of entry in Canada (which is either Vancouver or Toronto) it is official – your Canadian journey has begun.

It’s time for you (and your family) to begin a new chapter and make sure that you are taking the right steps towards a better and more comfortable life, you worked so hard on this and you’ve done so much to prepare for your big move.

Though you may have friends or relatives who can help you settle but it is still best to do your own research, besides, what may have worked for Joe does not necessarily mean that it will work for John as well.

There are free online and in-person settlement services that you and your family can access as soon as you arrived in Canada, these services are provided to new immigrants free of charge, since some of them may provide specific information only, it is advisable that you try to find the best service providers that fit your needs.
